St. Thomas college, Pala is one of the leading centers of research in Kerala with 11 research departments offering facilities for doing research in Hindi, English, Malayalam, Sanskrit, Mathematics, Statistics, Physics, Botany, Chemistry, Bio-Chemistry, Zoology, Politics and Commerce.

 

At presents there are 51 Research guides and 119 research scholars. The college has produce over 140 Ph.D. Degree holders from its various research departments. The faculty and research scholars have published more than 200 Research papers in national and international journals. 

 

The college is offering research and consultancy in various areas ranging from water testing to non conventional energy, statistical planning and data analysis to organic farming.
