Faculty Improvement Programmes: 

Regular courses, both long term and short term are conducted by experts for the faculty to improve their knowledge base as well as soft skills.

Counseling Service: 

The college has a full-time external counselor and from among the faculty, 6 trained counselors.

Retreats: 

Annual retreats are held for the faculty and the students to facilitate spiritual growth and renewal.

Personality Development Programmes: 

Regular programmes in personality and leadership skills conducted by renowned trainers

Seminars and Conference are conducted in view of their overall development of students.

 EXTRACURRICULAR ACTIVITIES

The doors are thrown open to the students to develop their innate potential and talents. Regular Arts and Talent Festivals and Competitions are are held giving the campus a look of warmth, growth and celebration.

 CAREER SERVICES

The College has an extremely proactive Career Guidance Wing led by 4 faculty members who are Career Counselling Certificate holders. Regular career orientation and awareness programmes are conducted by experts.

 CAREER INFORMATION CENTRE

It is a unique center with books, periodicals, directories etc. which are all career oriented. Over 120 up-to date career files are available to the students. These files contain materials collected from several courses, giving detailed information regarding course, career options etc.

CAREER COACHING CENTRE

Regular coaching is given for UGC, NET and SET Exams, P.O. and various PSC and UPSC tests, How to Face and Interview, How to Participate in a Group Discussion etc.

SCHOLARSHIPS, AWARDS AND PRIZES

To encourage curricular, co-curricular and extracurricular excellence, the college and various endowments offer under several categories 18 scholarships, 23 awards and 84 cash prizes every year.

Health Services

Annual medical checkup for students. Classes on health and hygiene by experienced doctors.

Civil Service Institute

Achievements speak more than words. Sveral candidates have been selected to various service categories through the coaching given at this Institute. Coaching is given for almost all major selection tests like UGC/CSIR, Bank Officer Tests, etc.

Computer Centre

With more than 25 latest machines, the computer center is a warm-up place for IT aspirants. V-SAT facility makes this center a great attraction for learning through the Net. 

The grant is being utilised for establishing a Statistical Computer Laboratory with advanced computing facilities. Under this programme, the Department has set up the Computer Lab with a True Intel Xeon IV Server, 20 PCs, Printers, Xerox Machine, 5 KVA UPS and softwares like MINITAB and SYSTAT. The lab is ready for use during the current year itself. In addition, there is an outlay of Rs. 3 lakhs for books and journals.

Centre for Mathematical Science

It is a centre to promote Mathematical temper and to facilitate research in the field of Mathematics, Statistics, Biometrics, Econometrics and other Mathematics related topics. It is run in collaboration with the centre for Mathematical Sciences, Pangappara, Thiruvananthapuram. The Centre already has books and back-volumes of journals and magazines worth over Rs. 3 crores.

It collaborates with Metanexus Institute, Philadelphia, USA for conducting analytical study on topics of Science and Religon.

RACS - RESEARCH AND CONSULTANCY SERVICE CELL

The expertise available in various disciplines of science at the college is opened up for consultancy in Research and Development (R & D), through Research and Consultancy Services (RACS). RACS-Cell provides the rare opportunity of getting the services of eminent scientists in various disciplines at nominal cost under one umbrella. Areas: Environmental Science; plant Biodiversity; Tissue Cultures; Scientific plantation Management; Plant Reproductive Biology; Microbiology; Biochemistry; Statistical Data Analysis and Software Development; Applied physics.

Extension programmes

38 major socially relevant extension programmes are being currently conducted by the various Departments

M G University study centre. Working time  1 pm to 6 pm. This study centre contains 5600 books. All the books can be used for  reference by PG and Research students as well as  members of the faculty. All the students from the MG University can use them and the study centre is supported by the University. The centre is located in B Building First Floor.

Language Lab with audio and video facilitys functioning under the department of the English. 

A placement cell is functioning in the college under the leadership of five teachers namely Dr. Tharsis Joseph,Dr. B Prakashkumar, Prof  Tomy cherian Dr. KK Jose, and Dr. Sunny Kuriakose. The cell contacts various firms imparts training to students and conducts campus interview.
