A Few of the Major Projects / Recognitions
1. Major Research Project worth Rs.2.05 crores sanctioned to Centre for Mathematical Sciences under intensive research in high priority area by the Department of Scienceand Technology, Govt. of India.
2. The Dept. of Botany has been awarded Major Research Projects under DST (Rs.9.5 lakhs) and KSCSTE (Rs.13.1 lakhs under SARD Scheme).
3. The Dept. of Chemistry has been awarded a DST Project for Rs.12.69 lakhs.
4. BOYSCAST fellowship 2006-07 of the DST worth Rs.30 lakhs to Dr. Dennis Thomas T. and Dr. Jos T. Puthur.

We are also planning to start a Continuing Education Programme (evening course) for the Alumni, Senior Citizens and the Public on relevant topics like Spoken English, French, German, Health issues, Nutrition, Biodiversity Conservation, Medicinal plants, Horticulture and Tissue culture, cultivation of Mushrooms, Apiculture, Vermi Compost, Biofarming and Biocertification, Penal Code, Intellectual Property Rights, Home Management, ConsumerRights, Economic Development and Planning, Banking and Loan Management, Aesthetics and Philosophy, Political History, Sociological and Psychological issues etc. Participants may also get limited library facilities.
